it-sys takes care of the SAP R/3 production and test environment as well as the Windows 2000 cluster for mpa - with the exception of pure operator activities such as changing back-up tapes. For reasons of cost efficiency our concept is based on local servers located at the customer's premises instead of a computing center. These servers are administrated via remote maintenance.
The regional hospital Bregenz has been a systema/it-sys customer for many years. The entire central system environment was planned and implemented in close cooperation with it-sys. A highly available Open VMS Cluster system with SAN solution serves as a central system. During the last year one section of the hospital was connected via radio LAN and terminal server concepts which, in the meantime, have become almost complete.
During the Bäumler project (merger of locations Ingolstadt and Hohenems) a highly available, disaster-tolerant SAN solution based on VMS and Windows 2000 clusters, located at 2 sites, was installed and taken care of. The Austrian location was connected via leased line and ISDN backup lines. Besides the highly available central system, it-sys planned and installed a fail-proof network with redundant building distributors based on FDDI a few years ago.
After the Schöller Bank Group was restructured, it-sys untied the Schöller Capital Management division, building a new IT structure (ranging from infrastructure network, climate control, etc. to server concepts) and restructuring the existing IT environment on schedule.
